The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, September 3 reveals Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will come up with a dangerous scheme to help Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Also coming up, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will chat with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Plus, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) plan a secret meet up. And Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) warning will worry Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Y&R spoilers tease Adam will ask Phyllis if she’s had any luck tracking down her toxic partner. She’ll lie and say no. Then she’ll tell Adam maybe she’s in love with Matt. “You two, as a pair, I can’t see it,” he’ll reply. Phyllis will say she wants to make one thing clear, however. She doesn’t need a man to take his family down. “I did it once, I can do it again.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Mariah Doesn’t Blame Daniel For What Happened
At the rehab clinic, Nick and Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will play cards and flirt a bit. Then Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will walk in. Nick will introduce them and Sharon will give her a look. “You know my name,” Marie will say. “You know what I did.” But Sharon will tell he she’s glad she’s okay and getting help. After Marie leaves, Sharon will warn Nick Phyllis is determined to help Matt.
Marie will return after Sharon’s gone and she and Nick will discuss Phyllis and Sharon. Nick will say they’re both his ex-wives. Then Adam will show up and Nick will say he’s his brother. And him being there means there’s trouble. Adam will shake his head yes.
He’ll apologize for interrupting and Marie will shake his hand and leave again. “I’m glad you’re here,” Nick will tell him. “I wanted to thank you for calling me out, making me honest about my drug use.” However, Adam will apologize for letting him leave the ranch that day. Nick will tell him it’s all on him.
Talk will turn to Phyllis and Nick will say her obsession with Matt has him worried. “Phyllis has lost her mind over Matt Clark,” Adam will reply. He’ll add he’s disappeared and their father has security looking for him. “We need to find him, and before Phyllis,” Nick will reply. “Her being team Matt, I don’t like it one bit.” Adam will say he ran into her and she’s suggested she’s in love with the guy and Nick will be stunned.
At the park cafe, Mariah will ask Daniel if he’s spoken to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) lately and he’ll say no. “I’m trying to say that anything that happened while I was gone, I don’t blame anyone for,” she’ll add. “So if you miss Tessa and you miss your friendship, I would understand.” Daniel will say he does miss her. However, he was caught up in grief and things happened.

But he’s glad she and Tessa are back together and happy. “I think she misses you too, maybe you should give her a call,” Mariah will reply. He’ll say their friendship helped him get out there again. “I’m even working with my dad at The Shadow Room.” Then Mariah will need to leave. But first, she’ll encourage Daniel to reach out to her wife.
Meanwhile, Phyllis will end up at the Riverbank Motel, in Matt’s room. She’ll kiss him and ask if she convinced him to stay. Matt will say she did and ask what her plan is. “We’re gonna make friends out of your enemies,” Phyllis will reply. Matt will bring up the fact that he saved Nick’s life. Maybe he needs to do something like that again.
They’ll discuss options of who he could save, and she’ll suggest Sharon. “If you save Sharon’s life, you’ll be proving to everyone you’re not a terrible person.” Phyllis will tell him she has a history with Sharon but they’re friends now. “You would risk all that, even for me?” he’ll ask. “Do you think this’ll work?” Phyllis will say he’ll step in before anything gets out of hand and he’ll be the hero.
Finally, Kyle will run into Victoria at Crimson Lights and he’ll give her advice on how to tease their competition. Then he’ll reach into his pocket and pull out an earring. “I believe this is yours,” he’ll tell Victoria. She’ll take it from him and he’ll mention he found it, after they were working late.
Victoria will tell him they said they weren’t going to do it again. “In the moment,” he’ll reply. “I can’t remember why.” Kyle will take off but he’ll return. “I wanna see you tonight, Riverbank Motel,” he’ll tell her. “It’s safer than meeting at the club.” Victoria will agree. “See you there,” Kyle will reply.
